Foreign Relations Changing the Course in IraqIn 2002, I voted against sending American troops into Iraq. I did not believe the Bush Administration had proven that Iraq was an imminent threat to the U.S., and I was concerned that the President did not have a clear strategy for success. We now know that we were led into this war based on false premises and false promises and without the troop numbers or the equipment needed to complete the job. After four years, more than $300 billion spent, and more than 3,200 American lives lost, I believe it is time bring our troops home. Click here to read more about my actions on this issue. Ending Genocide in DarfurGenocide is not just Sudan's problem or Africa's problem - it is the world's problem.
